The view of how Canada is perceived on the world stage is changing. Canadians are naturally curious, and we often wonder about how the rest of the world sees us. Earlier this year, assisted by the International Council for Canadian Studies, CBC News connected with about 7,000 academic professionals outside Canada who teach courses about Canada. The goal was to ascertain what is being taught about the country as well as what students’ perceptions are as to Canada’s place on the world stage. From Asia to Europe to South America, academics chimed in and the results are a bit of a mixed bag.
