Responsibilities:                

Leadership

• Establish and promote high academic and behavioral standards and expectations from staff and students
• Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures in the operation of the school
• Regularly report to the Board on all aspects of school’s performance  and compliance with approved policies and expectations
• Provide leadership to ensure conformance with all provincial and local regulations in the school’s operation

Personnel Management

• Conduct and document performance reviews on all teachers
• Maintain current (confidential) personnel files on all teachers
• Report to the Board on all instances of unacceptable performance or non-conformity of school faculty and staff

Instructional

• Create and maintain a learning and growing environment the staff and student body
• Mentor staff, ensuring conformity to vision and mission, and encouraging growth through staff meetings, seminars and other appropriate activities
• Oversee development of the curriculum, making changes and refinements as needed to ensure full implementation
• Supervise, in a consistent manner, an effective discipline and attendance system
• Work with staff to develop appropriate extra-curricular activities which complement the students’ educational experience

Administrative and Financial

• Prepare and keep current the school calendar and hours of operation
• Assist in developing and maintaining an emergency plan to protect school, staff and student body during all school functions.
• Develop an annual budget in conjunction with the Director
• Implement procedures and fiscal controls to ensure timely and accurate tracking of all budget items versus budgetary expectations for the school

This school offers a bi-lingual education for Omani and other Arabic speaking children from the ages of 3-18 years.
