It’s Academic to attend Grand Opening of Xing Wei College in Shanghai, China

(Vancouver, BC. – February 13, 2012) It’s Academic’s Managing Director John Becker’s upcoming trip to China (Feb. 20 to Mar. 4) will include attending the grand opening of the first Chinese American liberal arts college, Xing Wei College, in Shanghai. Mr. Becker’s attendance at the opening ceremony is quite significant as It’s Academic was instrumental in recruiting and placing the founding faculty in several disciplines as well several senior administrative posts.

Xing Wei College ( will provide students China’s first U.S.-modeled, liberal arts college education in an English speaking learning environment and will focus on 21st Century learning outcomes with the intention of providing open transfer access to quality university education in the U.S. Major courses of study can lead to a college diploma in Arts & Science, Business and Computer Studies. As well as providing a strong academic grounding, Xing Wei College provides a well-rounded learning experience by accepting applications from International students. The cross-cultural experiences will provide all students an opportunity to experience being citizens of the world.

It’s Academic’s will be in attendance during the February 23 – 24, 2012 opening ceremonies.
