Job Overview: A well established American and International Baccalaureate World School a Middle School Math-Science Teacher for the 2013-2014 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work in one of best schools in the world, with the possibility of renewing contracts upon completion. As an International Baccalaureate school, teachers with IB experience are preferred. Teachers will teach UAE nationals and international students aged 11 – 16.
Benefits: The package is regionally-competitive and includes shared accommodation located in an attractive part of town near the sea front. Although housing is shared during the first year, there is a possibility of single in the second year, assignment based on seniority or sometimes on an equal draw basis. The apartments include a private bathroom; they are fully furnished, hard and soft. 50% of utility bills are paid. School bus transportation is provided. Qualifications: Certified K-12 Teacher with a Bachelors and a Masters Degree (preferred); 3+ years’ of full time experience in the teachable subject and grade level; Proficient use of SMART Board and other technology used in the classroom; IB and MYP for Middle School and High School positions, an asset; Native English Proficiency; Previous international work experience an asset; Serious administrative and teaching professionals who are high energy, motivated, culturally sensitive and have a desire to work in a diverse environment; Minimum of 3 recent professional, supervisory references.

The curriculum is based on the Virginia state standards, as well as an International Baccalaureate (IB) school offering the IB Primary Years and IB Diploma programs (PYP and DP).
