Job Overview: Our client is a Canadian-owned company launching a new Canadian-based elementary school in Chennai, India. They require a team of Certified Canadian Primary and Elementary teachers to help them prepare and promote the school in the summer and then assist with officially opening its doors to students in August 2017. The teachers will work closely with the Canadian Principal to assist with the development of the programs, material, and public relations through the summer and begin teaching their classes in the fall for the school’s first academic year.
Benefits: Attractive Base Salary – Equivalent to CAD $36,000-$45,000 per academic year (September to May) depending on experience; Flight allowance; Vacation benefits; Private housing; Medical insurance; Local private car shuttle for transportation to and from the school; For any additional 4-week period the teacher works on development, preparation or planning, the monthly salary will be equivalent to CAD $3500 per month.
Qualifications: A Bachelor of Education and certification in any one Canadian province (ideally, BC) is required. The candidate must be experienced working with Primary and Elementary aged students.
Additional Details: The certified Canadian teachers will be responsible for planning, organization, development, and public relations in the summer and teaching in the fall when the school opens.
Organization Overview: Royal Canadian International School is a new school opening its doors in Chennai, India. Managed by a Canadian-based management firm with strong ties to India, the organization will open the school this fall, offering Primary and Elementary grades based on a Canadian-structured curriculum, delivered by trained Canadian educators. Higher grades will be added yearly, and additional campuses are planned to be opened in major cities across India over the next few years.
