Job Overview: High school Mathematics and Science teaching positions are available through a large, well-established Nova Scotia program in Beijing. This program has been running for eight years and has highly motivated students, small class sizes and a positive working atmosphere with generous preparation time. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach grade 10 to 12 courses that suit their educational background and interests, based on the Nova Scotia curriculum.
Benefits: Salary ranges between 240,000 to 288,000 RMB per year (approximately $46,800 to $56,200 CAD per year), round trip airfare provided each year, medical insurance and free housing.
Qualifications: Teachers must hold a Bachelor of Education and two year’s teaching experience. Teachers must be eligible to obtain their Nova Scotia teaching certificate. Candidates from the US and from Canada are welcome to apply.
Additional Details: The positions are to teach grades 10 through 12 in subject areas such as General Math, General Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Economics.
Organization Overview: Our client is a Canadian (Nova Scotia Accredited) high school program situated within a larger Chinese public school. The school was established over 150 years ago and its historical campus is located in the centre of Beijing, a 20 minute walk to the Forbidden City and Tian’anmen Square, five minutes to one of Beijing’s main shopping districts, and a short walk to public transit (subway, bus). The school has a student enrollment of 1300 with 200 faculty and staff.
