Job Overview: Our client in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is responsible for the quality of education and learning of government schools. They require Bilingual School Inspectors to help evaluate the performance of the schools, and provide an accurate and detailed view of the quality of the delivery of education. The successful applicants will be bilingual speakers of English and Arabic, have experience in school inspections and assessment, and should be specialized in at least one of the following three areas: Early Childhood Education, Public Education and Higher Education. The inspectors will be using the UAE’s nationally agreed criteria-based framework in order to make evaluations based on evidence they collect and observe.
Benefits: The compensation is a highly competitive monthly salary in the range of AED 28-30K (Approximately USD $7350 – $9500). No accommodation provided. Qualifications: Applicants must have experience carrying out school inspections and auditing in at least one of these three kinds of institutions: Public Schools, Early Childhood Schools or Higher Education Institutions. The successful candidate must also be fully bilingual in Arabic and English with an IELTS score of at least 7, posses a minimum of 5 years of teaching and 2 years of management experience, and a degree in Education. Required skills also include observation, interviewing assessment skills, teamwork and a positive commitment to school improvement.
Additional Details: Successful candidates will undertake inspector roles in adherence with the UAE school inspection framework and guidelines. This will include the responsibility for providing high quality pre-inspection analysis, on-site inspection, collection of evidence, post-inspection analysis, and writing/editing reports. Inspections take place during the academic year from September to April. In the remainder of the year inspectors will do policy work and coaching using other skills they have and leverage these across the entire organization.
