Job Overview: Our client is a Canadian accredited and inspected BC international school, currently completing it’s fourth year of operation. The school includes approximately 170 Grade 10, 11 and 12 students in a large, private Chinese school of 3,000 students. Our client is seeking to employ a bright, energetic teacher who can teach high school Chemistry and who has a B.Ed.
Benefits: Salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 CAD per year depending on qualifications, skills and abilities, and experience. Benefits include return airfare to home in Canada (or agreed upon allowance), medical insurance in China, a free furnished one bedroom apartment, and teacher vacation in the Gobi Desert in October.
Qualifications: Our client seeks Canadian teachers with a B.Ed who have at least two years’ full time experience teaching the subject matter. A TESL/CELTA and/or experience teaching non-native English speakers is desirable as is previous experience teaching in China.
Additional Details: Teachers are responsible for teaching high school chemistry classes as per the British Columbia curriculum.
Organization Overview: Our client is a BC Ministry of Education annually inspected, BC Offshore School. The school includes approximately 170 Grade 10, 11 and 12 students. The graduation class last June of 42 students are now attending universities mainly in Canada, with 34 graduates attending either the U of A or U of T.
